Meet Dr. Tim Krantz, guest speaker at the Aug. 9 Wings & Wild Things Nature Festival at Chirp Nature Centers on Aug. 9.
Dr. Kratnz’s resume includes 45-plus years of experience across a wide range of specializations. He is Professor Emeritus of Environmental Studies at the University of Redlands, teaching courses in Ornithology, Botany and Environmental Impact Assessment as well as the Conservation Director for the Wildlands Conservancy. Krantz lives and works on the Oak Glen Preserve and is the founding director of the Southern California Montane Botanic Garden.
An authority on the flora of the San Bernardino Mountains and rare and endangered plants in California, he helped develop the wintering bald eagle census methodology for Big Bear and served on the San Bernardino Valley Audubon Society Board of Directors for more than a decade.
