Chirp Bird Walks Are Back for 2026!
Experience the fun and wonder of birding with birding expert Matthew Schreiner. Sign up to participate in Chirp Nature Center’s free bird walks at one or more of the following dates: May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, and September 12, 2026.
The walks are free, but we ask that you register in advance so we know who to expect.

- Time: 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
- Meet Up: Chirp Nature Center, 578 Bonanza Trail, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315
- Price: Free
Meet at Chirp on the day of the walk between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m.. We will carpool to the trail site. After the walk, return to Chirp for coffee and refreshments and to talk about the birds we see on the walk.
Trail location may vary depending on conditions and group size. Our walks are generally leisurely paced, but outdoor conditions and terrain can vary. Sorry no dogs, please, as their presence could scare away birds.
