“The Best in Big Bear 2021” Winners Announced
Chirp Nature Center was ranked as the 2021 Best in Big Bear in the Animal Pet Services/Supply/Feed store category. Each year Big Bear’s local newspaper, the Big Bear Grizzly, asks its readers to vote for their favorite businesses across forty different categories within the Big Bear Valley. Voters were also asked to select businesses that “served their customers and the community in the safest possible way” during the pandemic. The Grizzly made it clear, “A vote…is a vote of confidence and trust.”
Chirp’s owners, Randall Putz and Beth Wheat, were overflowing with gratitude. “We are certainly humbled and grateful to all our wonderfully supportive friends of Chirp,” Randall shared. “We are also very proud of the entire Chirp team. They work hard to take care of those who take care of our winged friends.”
Since moving to a newly upgraded nest on 578 Bonanza Trail, Chirp’s store has grown to include an expanded feeder forest, a wider selection of premium birdseed, a greater variety of carefully curated gifts, and a growing selection of educational books and guides. Most recently, Chirp has been hosting events, like their 3rd Hatchiversary, in their newly upgraded Backyard event center. Chirp’s Backyard is scheduled to host many more fun and engaging nature-themed activities.
